CHER'S MALIBU RESIDENCE Barrie was hired to pull together the finishing touches of the house. Barrie selected and specified many items for Cher’s review and was completely responsible for the design and installation of the movie theater along with many of the fabrics and finishes used throughout the 16,000 sq ft home. Working with her existing English Gothic Antique collection all upholstery items and furnishings had to be modified to modern day use while still retaining there historic integrity. The level of crafting and custom details was rigorous as Cher’s own unique personal taste is reflected throughout the house. There was at one point 85 people building the home in order for it to be finished on time.
